What is Climate Change? DIY Solar The Future?

These days, you repeatedly hear the observation or the though may have come to you: Why is it so hot?! What is climate change?- Well tropical weather aside, every year it seems to be a little hotter. Weather forecasters note that in the last 2 decades we have had the warmest 7 years in the records and that the world is higher average temperature than it has for at least 200,000 years. Now is a good  time to explore the possibilities for home solar power

The constant use of fossil fuels to power our society has, over the decades, amplified the volume of Sulphur Dioxide being discharged into the air. Consumption of Sulphur containing fuels either in our industries or in our numerous power plants generates Sulpher Dioxide which then reacts with water and oxygen H2o and O2 in the atmosphere to produce H2SO4. This acid produced in the atmosphere, is a large component of Acid Rain.

From the end of World War 2   the lower atmosphere  temperature globally increased  0.74 ± 0.18 °C  and its projected  to go on and even  increase if nothing is done to cut back emissions globally . The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have come to the conclusion that most of the recorded temperature rises since the middle of the 20th century the rise in the average  annual  temperatures are caused by increasing  concentrations of CO2 resulting from human activity such as  carbon based  fuel burning  and deforestation .  These basic  findings   have been endorsed  by more than forty  scientific societies and science university departments, comprising  all of the national universities of science of the major industrialized economies . The IPCC also proclaims  that differences  in natural occurances  such as solar radiation and volcanic activity  produced  the majority of the global warming , prior to the industrial revolution .

Future climate model predictions  reviewed  in the latest IPCC report indicate that the global ground temperature is likely to increas a further 2.0 to 11.5 °F in  the next century . The impression  in this scientific  supposition comes from  from the use of calculations with differing  sensitivities  to greenhouse  gas %  volumes and the use of different   best projections  of future carbon dioxide gas discharges . Some  other doubts include  the way in which global warming  and related  changes will differ  around the globe  when examined  by regions. You can assist  by utilizing  your own homemade solar panels, and do your bit to reduce CO2 emissions as well as save money on your electric bills.

If you have the opportunity to watch Al Gore’s Oscar winning documentary – “An inconvenient Truth”, it would  clarify the case he made for the necessity  to rid ourselves of carbon based fuel using industrial processes and power plants and goes some way to answering what is climate change? . They have been calculated as making several billion tons! (An unimaginable amount) of CO2 into the atmosphere every year , which has a direct and harmful  effect on global warming. Should climate change continue at it’s present rate whole species of plant and animal life will will die out , hugh heat waves will appear  decimating entire  populations, and regions  of the polar ice fields will dissapear .It feels  like it may be time to relocate from the coast and up to the hills.

All of this makes  it imperative  that we care for the environment  and make use of alternative energy before it becomes too late. Scientists concur that global warming is in full swing and it is the human race that have brought about  nearly all of the problems. The sun warms the world and gases such as CO2 that trap  the heat in the atmosphere. Burning fossil fuels makes additional carbon dioxide  causing climate change bycreating the greenhouse effect and overheating our planet .

For the future safe continuance of our society we really should decide   on our personal stance on the question of what is climate change? and what we can do to assist ? One possible way  is to consider   making   our own DIY green  energy (the best option would be renewable solar energy) system   on our property, the most popular form such a project can take is the use of solar panels. Which with the help of a good online guide with step by step instructions and videos , makes the whole project accessable and affordable for everyone.
